Information
An initial application rate of 250 lbs/acre or 5.73 lbs/1000 ft2 is highly beneficial on both sand based areas and soil based areas. Begin initial application in early spring when your root system is becoming active. Follow the maintenance schedule throughout your season as root growth continues. MicroPel® is highly beneficial in establishment and grow-in situations. Increased root growth and increased root mass will occur when this program is followed. Heavy traffic areas will benefit from spot treatments at a 2x rate.
At the following rates, MicroPel® as part of a comprehensive agronomic plan will provide a long lasting dark green turf that is thick and dense. Plant energy is produced efficiently, and energy is directed into overall turf health rather than just upright growth. MicroPel® is great at maintaining superior color in winter over seeded turf.
The following guidelines have been established by golf course superintendents and sports turf managers that have been using and monitoring the use of the product since 2005.
